asanga mimic — Terms of Use

These terms apply to everyone who uses asanga mimic ("Mimic"), a service of Asanga Origin Private Limited ("Asanga", "we"). By ticking the box and continuing you accept them for yourself and, if you use Mimic for a company, for that company.

1. What Mimic does

Mimic turns text into speech, changes one voice into another, transcribes speech, cleans up recordings, dubs audio and video into other languages, creates sound effects and music, and lets you design or clone voices. Mimic runs on AI technology from third-party providers and on Asanga's own infrastructure, and the mix may change over time.

2. Your account

Access is by invitation. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account and your workspace. Tell us at support@asanga.ai if you think someone else has used it.

3. What you may not do

You must not use Mimic, or anything it produces, to:

• clone, imitate or impersonate any real person's voice without that person's informed, written permission, or to pass AI audio off as a real person's actual words;
• deceive, defraud, harass, threaten, bully or defame anyone, or interfere with elections or public processes;
• create sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate content, or content that promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm or hatred against people for who they are;
• infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights;
• break any law, or help anyone else do any of these things.

These restrictions are at least as strict as the terms and usage policies of the providers whose technology Mimic uses, and you agree to follow those too when using Mimic. We may suspend or close access, and remove content, if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.

4. Voice cloning

You may clone only your own voice, or the voice of a person who has given you written permission to do so for the use you intend. Each time you create a clone you confirm this in Mimic, and we keep a record of that confirmation. You will show us that permission if we ask.

5. Your content

You keep your rights in what you upload ("Input") and, as between you and Asanga, in what Mimic produces for you ("Output"). You confirm you have the rights needed to upload your Input. AI output can be wrong, similar to other users' output, or unsuitable; review it before you use or publish it.

6. How your data is processed

Files and records are stored for your workspace in Supabase (Mumbai region). To produce Output, your Input is processed on Asanga's own infrastructure or sent to our third-party AI providers, which may process it outside India. You grant those providers, their affiliates and their subcontractors a non-exclusive right to process and use your data (including Input, Output and voice recordings) to provide, secure and improve their services, as described in their terms. You confirm you have any consent needed from people whose voices or personal data appear in your Input.

7. Credit

Tools use workspace Credit at the prices shown before you run them. Credit is a prepaid right to use Mimic; it is not money, cannot be transferred, and is not refundable except where the law requires or we say otherwise in writing. If a job fails, the Credit held for it is returned.

8. No relationship with our providers

You are not an agent, partner or joint venturer of any of our providers, and neither are we. Our providers are intended third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Nothing we say about Mimic is a promise on behalf of any provider.

9. Service and liability

Mimic is provided "as is" while in preview. We work to keep it available and accurate but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, Asanga's total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Credit in the three months before the claim, and neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; when we do, Mimic will ask you to accept the new version before your next job. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Bengaluru having jurisdiction. Questions: support@asanga.ai.
